What are the costs for books and materials for class ?

·         Most course material is avaliable on the digital platform.  2 books may add to the total cost, depending on the topics you choose.  Estimated price : € 50 maximum

Is there an internship component that I could apply for ?

·         No

After the course, can I request an official transcript from the school to send with my application to a Masters program ?

·         After the courses and the exams (or assignments) you get a transcript with marks and ECTS-points sent to your home institution.  It is up to them to validate the ECTS.

What is involved in the orientation session for international students ?  When does this session happen ?

·         We organize a welcome week with a number of activities to help you accomodate on campus and in Ghent. All information about the schedule will be given at that moment.  Lessons start right away. 

Is housing guaranteed if we apply before November 2012 ? 

·         If you apply before that date, chances are very big you will have a room.  We don’t really guarantee, as students can select what they want (and if they cannot make up their mind)

Do we receive our choice of housing or is it selected for us ?

 Rumour goes that Erasmus students cannot fail.  Is this correct ?

·         Unfortunately, this is definitely not the case.  Erasmus students are assessed in the same (correct and honest) way, our Belgian students are.  This rumour probably came into existence, because most Erasmus students are well motivated, intelligent and eager-to-work young people.  These attitudes automatically increase their rate of success!  But, no, no grades without efforts…
